Probate Administration
Sometimes confused with estate planning, probate refers to the court-supervised process of transferring a person's property at death. It is intended to insure that a decedent's creditors are paid, appropriate tax returns are filed, and that the remainder of the decedent's property is distributed in a timely manner according to the terms of the decent's Last Will & Testament or, for individuals passing without a Will, pursuant to statute. Please note however, that different rules may apply based on the size of the estate. Our firm can assist you in completing this this statutory process.
